The programme will include 66kV power in-feeds, three 66/11kV grid substations and seven 11kV switching stations. The affected locations are cluster Dichaon Kalan, cluster Kair, DTC Dichaon Kalan, DTC Ghumanhera, DTC Kharkhari Nahar, Ghumanhera Cluster-1 and Ghumanhera Cluster-2.
The electrical network is being developed as an essential requirement for expanding Delhi’s electric bus fleet to roughly 14,000 buses by 2028. Large-scale electric bus operations require reliable depot-level charging capacity, and the planned installations are intended to provide the power infrastructure needed for that expansion.
BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd is set to execute the work. The project is expected to require 18 months once the necessary approvals are in place.
