He also announced that three women-only battalions of the Provincial Armed Constabulary, or PAC, would carry the names of women warriors linked to the uprising of 1857: Rani Avantibai Lodhi, Uda Devi and Jhalkari Bai.
“History has forgotten them but we have not. This will further give strength to our women police personnel,” Adityanath said.
The proposed naming is intended to recognise women associated with the 1857 revolt while giving female police personnel symbols of historical leadership and resilience. Speaking about the state’s industrial base, he said Uttar Pradesh had 96 lakh units that provide employment to 3 crore people. He contrasted the state’s earlier description as a Bimaru state with its present position as a revenue-surplus state.

The chief minister also mentioned LPG connections, saying the BJP government had provided them to 12 crore people. He said welfare benefits were distributed without asking beneficiaries about caste or religion.
“We do not ask beneficiaries their castes and religion while giving these benefits. But some people always try to malign the country’s image,” he said.
The comments on jobs, enterprise and household support formed a substantial part of the address, linking the event’s social theme with the government’s broader claims on development and welfare delivery.
